FAQ's

Here you can find some of our most frequently asked questions, please get in touch though if your question isn't answered below!

How much does it cost?

Each job is different, we will need to arrange a site visit in order to supply you with an idea on costs.

Is there anything we need to do before you start?

In an ideal world, each room will be completely empty with no carpets, laminate or tiles etc.

However, we know this isn't always practical and if you already have flooring down then we wouldn't expect it to be removed. We would simply cover it up and protect it throughout the project.

How long will it take?

Again, each job varies but we can discuss this on a site visit.

How often does the project cost more than the initial quote?

The simple answer is; Rarely. We pride ourselves on being open and honest and generally speaking we stick to the figure on our quotes. There are very few circumstances where we have to add extras on top and in ALL cases, we will always discuss this with you before going ahead with any extras.

How can we keep the costs down?

The simplest way to keep the costs down is as easy as having the room empty. It is surprising how much time is saved if we work in an empty room and we can make the most of the lighting so you get the best possible finish (working in dark rooms or with shadows can cause problems) It also reduces the risk of us damaging anything.

I want a particular brand of paint - will this be a problem?

No, this is not a problem, although we may ask why to get a better understanding of why you want a certain paint. It may be because you have read reviews and think its the best product. It may be because you like their colours or it may be because you've used them in the past and trust them.

Whatever the reason, we will be happy to discuss it with you.

I think I need to get a plasterer in first - Can you plaster?

This is something we can discuss on the site visit, generally speaking we prep all walls inc general repairs/filling as and where required. We will advise if we notice the need for a plasterer.

Our walls have old wallpaper on, can you paint over it?

Generally speaking, a lot of people paint over wallpaper without issues (depending on the texture/materials). Unfortunately this is something we try to stay away from as it could lead to a much bigger job and we couldn't offer any guarantee on the finish or the durability on top of old paper.

Bret has been amazing from our first meeting earlier this year. We have used Bret already for a number of internal projects since and he is AMAZING , he is a perfectionist. It’s not just that though, having somebody in and out of your home - he is so respectful / tidy and generally a really nice person. We now have him lined up for a couple of external spraying jobs and quite frankly we wouldn’t use anybody else at all.
